  Corsa C, 06 Reg old shape 1.2 petrol. Starter motor is screeching sometimes when cold. This morning its frosty and it just wont engage and just screeches. Battery is a bit old but I've jumped it and makes no difference - still makes that horrible racket! I've put car on axle

  and no problems with the car generally except for the noise. So far i have changed both bearings, both drive shafts and cv joints it has had new wishbones, but i still have the noise. It has to be some sort of drive problem as it doesn't do it on tick over. Stumped

  in as many weeks. Service manager said he hopes this new one will be OK as the warranty on the gearbox will expire when the car is 3 years old i.e. 1st March. Surely after a catalogue of disasters Ford cannot simply disown the warranty work! or is the service manager correct? What would you do?

  Amazingly (or stupidly) I've never replaced the wipers on my car. That's been because they've been fine up until recently when the rubber started to peel away but they still worked. Anyway - nipped into Ford before and bought a pair and just replaced them now. Swish aren't they? Wear indicators
