  Although I have owned Diesel cars for many years I have only driven Petrol autos. Any preferences out there? My next car may be a Kia seed or Hyundai i30 Diesel Auto.

  Just out of interest, how are these cars related? I'm told they are pretty much the same car. I am to be given my mum's old 1.9D ZX. 122k on an M plate. I know the engines are the same 1905cc XUD lumps.

  Sorry if this an old subject, but are ALL motoring writers obsessing on exotica these days? With one notable exception (Car Mechanics) most mags seem uninterested in average cars and are therefore, as far as I am concerned, a total waste of space. Or am I just getting (even) older?

  Has anyone any experience of the automatic gearbox on these cars? My brother has an automatic only license and has driven old Micras up until now but has been offered a 1988 205. Am I right to be a bit wary of these cars? Thanks

  Is it a good idea to buy a 13,000 mile 4 year old Corolla. I've heard it's better to buy a higer mileage car (given that both cars are the same age) than a low one. Not sure of the reasoning behind this tho'.
