  In most cars I drove, I observed following trend with fuel gauge. When full tank, the needle moves very slowly from F mark. Once near half-way mark, it moves much faster. At a quarter tank full level, it movest to E at a very fast pace! So, the movement is not linear all the way from F to E

  I've just had to buy a new fuel filler hose elbow for SWMBO 306. This rather insignificant piece of fuel proof hose is basically a 2" bore 90 degree rubber bend, that joins the fuel filler pipe to the fuel tank. I'm not complaining that this part is needed as the car is almost 10 years old

  I noticed yesterday the fuel prices at my local Shell station were 173.9 and 184.9, but today they had gone up even higher to 175.9 and 186.9. It looks like the energy companies are trying to pass on the windfall tax to the consumers, rather than their share holders, what a surprise! (not).
