  The brake pad warning light on my '92 BMW 518 has just come on. Can anyone tell me (roughly) how many more miles I can drive it before I must get new pads.

  Well, just as it says. W reg Micra. The driver side brake light is stuck on when the lights are turned on. Before I get going with the old tool kit, does anyone have any suggestions? This is a new one to me. Any help greatly appreciated. Splodgeface

  Having just used etyres to have tyres fitted at home I have been googling away trying to find an equivalent service for brake pads and disks. Does anyone know of one? Or perhaps a cheap place to buy either ebc or ferodo pads? TIA teabelly

  I have just had to replace front brake discs along with pads (first time for both) at the 25000 mile service. They were coroded, scored and slightl out of true. Seems exceedingly short life span for discs. Anyone had a similar experience? Jon P
