Nissan Almera 1.6 auto 1999. - A.B.S. Problem. 16 Jul 2013 (Forum)
ABS light has just come up on Almera. I've heard that you can test (without a meter), but, I cannot seem to find instructions online. I presume it may be a sensor. Both rear brakes are slightly binding - an easy fix, but if abs prob is expensive the car may not be worth fixing -

BMW 530Dauto, E39, 2001 - Creaking Noises 4 Aug 2012 (Forum)
When I reverse (auto box) up an incline I get a distinct creaking sound from the front of the car (but not always on a flat surface). I thought it might be the front disc pads binding but stabbing the brake doesn't stop the creak. Could it be the engine mounts or maybe a drive belt -

Subaru Impreza II WRX (2000 - 2005) - 04 2.0 rear discs 5 Jan 2010 (Forum)
I have not changed these before. I have heard that to remove the disc two bolts are screwed in. My questions are: what size bolts? Where is the shoe release if the discs jam on the way off? Does the brake hose stay on? Any helpful hints or special tools required? Thanks for any contributions. -

Skoda - 09 2.0 Keeping New Alloy Wheels Clean 22 Jul 2009 (Forum)
My new car will have a protective paint sealant (I know , probably snake oil) but the garage refused to apply the sealant to the wheels with vague caveats about the heat from the brakes. Anyone successfully protected their wheels? I'm thinking of just applying a decent polish like Autoglym -
