57 VW Golf 1.9tdi - sc***ing noise ! - rockydevon

Went over a small speed bump at low speed yesterday and heard a clunk from front driver side of car. Now get intermittent sc***ing noise from front driver side wheel mostly on L hand cornering. Have I done some damage and is it safe to drive. (Brakes ok not pulling to side)

I suspect that the censored word ws s-c-r-a-p-i-n-g. I doubt you have done any damage, could be that your brake pads are wearing thin or that you have picked up something on them. If it drives OK I wouldn't worry.

Thanks for that, hopefully no damage, have booked it in anyway to be looked at under my service and maintenance contract but no doubt they will say it is not covered.
