  Looking to purchase a decent scanner and code resetter for myself as a reasonably experienced diyer. The family fleet consists of Suzukis, old Toyota, Fiat panda and Peugeot partner 1.6 hdi. I would like to be able to interrogate and reset parameters particularly around the diesel Eolys and DPF

  camp, these are unfortunately thin on the ground. Now if I had to go for diesel is one better than another? Is there one to avoid? IIRC The 1.8 doesn't have a DPF and powershift auto should be avoided.

  Very confused. On 1 hand diesels are going out of fashion and being targeted for higher taxes but the 1.4 tsi is £110 road tax while the 1.6 is free and 2.0 is £20. With the TSI you dont get DPF and EGR faults but apart from that what the the benefits of the petrol

  Anyone got any views on this product to get around resetting service intervals: My Freelander 2 MY13 (and many other JLR cards ) have to bet set for next service and DPF oil usage at dealers, as a ex mechanic I find this a tad frustrating. http://www.diagnostic-associates.com
