Mazda CX-5 - High Mileage Diesel Cars 27 Jul 2020 (Forum)
I am looking for a Mazda CX-5, and i have seen a few 3 and 4 year old ones, with 90k-100k miles on the clock but with Mazda full service history. My initial thought is that the DPFs are likely to be in good condition, and the engines are likely to have had fewer stop start journeys, so -

Future Diesels? - Diesel Repreive? - Soot at the end of the tunnel 13 Dec 2019 (Forum)
rig ATPIT AFAICT. Don't think its in an engine yet, but the hope/speculation is that it could reduce the need for / load on the DPF. Gas co-combustion also reduces diesel emissions and has been used in operational engines (was poipular in Australia) but seems to ibe more complex. -
Octavia / Superb - 1.4TSi / 2.0TDi 25 Sep 2018 (Forum)
or faced with an incline. Maybe the 2.0TDi is the way to go - especially if I can stretch to a VRS... My mileage is around 10k but with good motorway runs, so a DPF shouldn't be an issue. -

is the dpf a real problem on this model. Is it the speed of the engine that determines a regen or temp of exhaust. Would a normal 20 mile journey to work be ok. Thanks for replies. Sparky100. -
Kia Sorento - Change from X-Trail to 7 seat kIA Sorento 26 Jan 2015 (Forum)
We are thinking of replacing our Nissan X-Trail 2003 model with 105k miles as it is getting a bit long in the tooth and we need to go to a 7 seater. We fancy a Kia Sorento 2.2 2011/12 model KX2 standard. Can you see any problems with this plan, in particular does it have DPF issues and does -

Jaguar XF - P052F Glow Plug Module Fault Code (No symptoms) 28 Dec 2022 (Forum)
thinks that fitting a new Glow Plug Module will cure this fault. There are no warning lights on the car and it drives 100% fine but if the Glow Plug Module isn't working, DPF regenerations won't take place - indeed, I haven't noticed a DPF regen for a few weeks. Has anyone else had -
Skoda Octavia Estate - Help! Need some buying advice on a budget. 18 Feb 2021 (Forum)
or people carrier. I've always had VAG 1.9TDIs - a couple of B6-era A4s, a MK2 Octavia, a Fabia estate - and I absolutely love them. Although I know HJ is not a fan of these, my preference is for another pre-DPF 1.9TDI or 2.0TDI (A4, A6, Passat, Octavia etc) as I know what to look for and how to spot -

. This would carry on for a few days, then the car would smoke a lot for a few miles, but it would then clear the problem for a few weeks before repeating all over again. I had a diagnosis done, no error codes just a dpf problem was found. I was told as I was only doing short journeys the car was getting -
Diesel or Petrol advice. 15 Feb 2016 (Forum)
for the full warranty period. Dilema is regarding the milage and journey distances i do. I travel only 7-8 miles (country B roads) to work with the odd 15-30 mile journey each week. Total 9-11K per year. My main worry is with DPF and short journeys. Also real MPG of petrol cars versions -
Volkswagen Passat CC 08 - Is this even right or what? 5 Feb 2015 (Forum)
value of the consumption I have filled up to the max and I drove a 100 miles and after I refuelled to max again. Then I calculated the fuel consumption and it was 28mpg for the city. At first I was told it is bacuse of the DPF filters. Some "very clever" guy has offered me to remove -
Skoda Superb Estate - Which Skoda is more reliability 22 Feb 2012 (Forum)
, or are they also problematic)? Assume that I never rev a cold engine over 2500 rpm and a warm one never over 4000 rpm, I service my cars like clock work and drive 15 miles motorway each way to work daily (which I think is good enough for DPF). Taking into consideration things like turbo's; injectors; DMF -
