Hi All,
I have a 2006 06 Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI.
Is this engine fitted with a dpf, I just need to know for sure.
It is used for mainly motorway journeys so does a good number of miles, When would it HAVE to be changed and how expensive is it to replace? I take it, it has to be done at fords.
Is there any other big expenses above 60,000mls
Regards

We run one of these on the company fleet. It has just clocked up 105.000 miles. It is fitted with the Ford/Peugeot engine and all the 1.6s have a dpf.Recent expenses, apart from normal service items, have been a new turbo last december and during last year the infamous turbo intercooler pipe along with a new crankshaft damper pulley. The dpf tank was re-filled at around 80k.The car is still on the original dpf.A new one is around £700,the last time I enquired.hth

Whether of not your Focus has a dpf depends on its power output.
AFAIK, the 90ps doesn't have a dpf, the 110ps does.
