1995 cavalier 1.7TD fuel problems 26 Jun 2005 (Forum)
I had an earlier post about oil levels and smoke in this car... I have changed the oil and fuel filters and also replaced the oil. Now my car wont start. I think it is an airlock. I have filled the fuel filter with diesel prior to fitting. The engine ran for a short while then started to labour -

I am taking delivery soon of a Skoda Octavia with the 130bhp tdi pd diesel engine fitted. I have used Millers Diesel Power Plus for many years in my 11 year old Passat. Skoda discourage use of fuel additives on the basis that engines are designed with modern fuels in mind. I would be grateful -

The EU fuel figures are ridiculous. However the U.S. government publishes figures which are much more realistic, and compare well with the honestjohn realmpg website. Look on www.fueleconomy.gov . You need to multiply everything by 1.25 to correct -
