Ineffective Aircon - Rover 220 17 May 2004 (Forum)
is that the old car may have had the "old" type of refrigerant (whatever that is), and the new car a different, less effective, type. I'm not aware that the old car ever had its refrigerant replaced but the new one certainly has. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks, Mark -

My dealer has told me that I need a new gearbox and clutch. I don't disbelieve them, but I am sure that this should not happen with this low mileage. I want -
Volvo S40 old model 26 Oct 2004 (Forum)
Went in an 04 reg Volvo S40 1.9d yesterday. Is the very intrusive engine noise a characteristic of these cars? There were three of us in it doing a trip on urban roads and the engine noise in the cabin was so loud I could hardly hear what anyone was saying. I was also concious of having to raise -

Upmarket cars - Leather car seats......why? 21 Nov 2022 (Forum)
I wonder why, in this age of comfortable durable fabrics, the expensive preparation and treatment of cattleskin is widely used for car seats and surroundings. Very few would choose it for chairs in the home - why in cars? I much preferred the fabric of my old cars -

ALL - LED HEADLIGHTS & NIGHT DRIVING 24 Feb 2024 (Forum)
The recent;y announced crack-down on eyesight testing, especially among the elderly (and I count myself as one!) has more than likely been made as a result of the modern trend to fit LED headlights to new cars, and also to retro-fit old ones. Virtually everybody I know, old and young, complains -
Old cars, especially historic vehicles - Rubber fuel lines 27 Jul 2021 (Forum)
47yrs ago) until I could remove the rotten 41 year old six inch rubber pipe connecting the tank outlet to the fuel line. Fortunately I had a spare length from a similar sort of repair on another car back in the mists of time which, after immersion in boiling water, softened up sufficiently to fit -
No stock - orders only 13 Sep 2009 (Forum)
Ceed. Skoda supposedly have limited stock of the Roomsters. Toyota supposedly have limited stock of the Auris. Some models of the Jazz are order ony.
