Highways Agency Presence 1 Aug 2005 (Forum)
Item on the radio this morning that Highways Agency presence is to spread from midlands to M25 and that they are improving driving behaviour. Ironic as I passed a Highways Agency Shogun on the M6 yesterday morning near Walsall, 65mph in the middle lane, inside lane empty - the boys were setting -
The Future of the Car 6 May 2005 (Forum)
Stuck at home with a bad back today but gave me the chance to listen to You and Yours on Radio 4. Fascinating and well informed discussion on the future of the car featuring James May, a rep from the SMMT and others. To listen again go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/youandyours/ and click -
Falling over lorries 3 Jul 2004 (Forum)
I keep hearing traffic reports on the radio which refer to a jam being caused by an 'overturned lorry'. There's at least one a day. Why do they overturn with such alacrity? Are they loaded badly so that they are top heavy or do the drivers corner at lunatic speeds? I think we should be told. -
Car Stereo Codes 25 Jun 2001 (Forum)
I have recently bought a 2nd hand Citron AX as a run around. Saddly the radio does not work because it is coded and the previous careful lady owner did not know the code! Can any one recommend a DIY fix for this problem or is it of to the citron dealer or local auto electric? -

Golf II aerial cable 21 Mar 2006 (Forum)
Hi folks, I've just bought a 1990 Golf II which needs a couple of things doing to it, but overall a nice car. First problem which is turning out harder than expected is the radio aerial. The previous owner replaced a broken aerial but didn't pull a piece of string through on the end of the cable -

Brake 25 Nov 2012 (Forum)
Whenever there is a road safety discussion on the radio (well BBC anyway) and TV the pressure group Brake is always invited on to comment, but why? It is obvious what their opinion will be, reduce speeds is their only solution to every motoring safety problem. The organisation is neither -

I'm about to look at at a 98 Punto, goining at a private sale, and looking at HJ's pointers, I'm stumped by the 'Red Key' issue. I've searched the forums, and can't get a clear answer as to how big an issue it is. Is it just to reset the radio or such, or is any car without it not worth touching -

Common spelling mistakes on this forum 10 Jan 2006 (Forum)
Reading through a few posts, why is it that the middle pedal in a car is often referred to as the "break" pedal and the thing that picks up a radio signal an "ariel"? And those trips up to the airport in Essex? It's STANSTED, not Stanstead! Anyone else spotted a regular spelling mistake oft
