The guy with the runaway car?? 2 Mar 2007 (Forum)
cobbler I ever heard in my life...surely it is better to have no PAS and heavy brakes in an unpowered car, rapidly decelerating, than to have a car doing 100+mph with burnt out brakes etc? Just wondering what the outcome was. Component part. -

MOT nonsense. 11 Aug 2006 (Forum)
Had car mot'd today. Car passed, but was amazed seeing the subjectiveness of the brake test. The car was tested on the rollers with the tester watching a flickery needle on an analogue dial. He judged it was reading 150 on the right and 200 on the left, I reckon the error in this measurement must -

Keep your distance! 11 Nov 2003 (Forum)
Just read an article in the telegraph about accidents being staged in order to claim thousands of pounds off the 'guilty' party's insurance company. Most of them seem to involve a car braking in front of you sharply and they have often disabled the brake lights so a following car is more likely -
Citroen Picasso Pedal Peril 31 Jul 2003 (Forum)
I have an 18 month old Picasso which seems to have developed an alarming problem with its pedals. Under heavy braking the pedals feel as if they all move en masse down toward the floor. If I have the clutch pedal pressed fully down at the same time then it can actually become jammed against -
Squeeky wheel on world's worst supermini 25 Jun 2003 (Forum)
Hi I am unfortunate enough to own a hideous 850cc Seat Marbella (spanish panda) which was a temporary stop gap that somehow has managed to stay for 8000 miles! The problem is an intermittant squeek at low speeds from the drivers side front wheel hub. It's definately not the brakes rubbing because -

can you stall an auto? 3 Sep 2002 (Forum)
Just curious on this one, is it possible to stall an automatic? I suppose not, as the torque convertor takes up the role of an automatic clutch. I ask this because several times I have forgotten to release the parking brake and drove off, I wonder if it really works! I did read in the manual -
Who\'s fault? (Motor Accident) 7 Jun 2002 (Forum)
