The most troublesome car I have had in 40 years

I bought the new shape Passat Estate 2.0 tdi on the basis of perceived VW quality.
The first SEVEN unplanned visits to the main dealer were for Ignition housing renewed: Safety recall wiper motor; VWP1 recall renew steering column and immobiliser unit; Renewed fuel pump as per recall; Renewed brake pad sensor plug and wires and three alloy wheels replaced due to defective surface, then front passenger door lock faulty. Most of that was warranty work.
But then at 45k miles Clutch and dual mass flywheel replaced costing £1300, then parking sensors failed cost £420 and just last week "AFS inoperative" meaning headlights fail to align so can only drive on high beam at night. I am waiting to hear what this will cost.
The dealer, Lindvale Colchester made lots of sympathetic noises, but ultimately say sorry but it must be your driving! A guy in the workshop said we get clutches go at 25k.
This is my first VW and it will definitely be my last.
