Volkswagen Golf Estate (2013 - 2020)
2.0 TDI 184ps 6speed Gtd BlueLine 5dr
Great Engine Surrounded By JUNK.
The review is for the VW brand and the 2015 very low mileage Golf estate bluemotion 2.0 TDI i purchased a couple of years ago and have had nothing but trouble with.
On collection very hard to get in any gear RETURNED FOR REPAIR.
Air con failed,
Water pump failed had to have that and timeing belt replaced, master and slave cylinders failed sleeves replaced. Condenser now failed.
Car doesn't even have 50,000 on the clock.
In short the engine is great everything else is garbage worst car i have ever had will never buy german again and I know the owner before me really looked after it was immaculate with very low mileage.
I have been told by the garage mechanic that the failing parts are where they make a lot of money and they are not made in germany but all over the world, i.e. middle& far east and shipped to Germany to fit= PennyPinching.
Honestly this car has been in the garage on a regular basis since i have collected it 3 years ago and on the last visit to the garage as I was saying it was jinxed the mechanic said look around and the forecourt was full of VW,Audi and BMW's he then said none of these are in for engine repairs they are all in for failed parts around the engine.
German reliability No longer exists.
Will be buying Honda or Toyota next.
