Good Car spoilt by a disgraceful Infotainment System
Our Golf is 6 years and bought brand new from a local VW dealer . It has extremely low mileage ( < 13000 miles) and is in excellent condition apart from the infotainment unit failing just after Warranty ended . We were quoted £2500 to replace MIB 2.5 glove compartment unit. We complained to VW HQ who were just not interested and only when I investigated through the Internet did I realise how widespread the problem with the infotainment unit was.
So our next car will NOT be a VW as there after Sales service and HQ Customer Service was disgraceful.
I traded in a 15 year old TDI Focus which was much better to drive and had more comfortable seats over long journeys.
