Vauxhall Meriva (2010 - 2017)
1.7CDTi 110ps SE Air Con Auto 5dr Small MPV
AWFUL & UNRELIABLE
I wanted to write a second review after living with this car for sometime.
As I said in my previous review the DPF is a real pain.
In the end we owned the car for just short of 6 years here are the list of faults and replacement parts with approximate mileage covered.
The car ate tyres the fronts lasting around 8,000 miles until only the inside tread was close to the wear limit, we had everything checked including toe angles, tracking etc no fault was found. We had the rear tyres replaced under warranty because the side walls completely split open.
We had an intermittent fault with the central locking sometimes the car would not open or lock using the remote no fault was found.
26,000 new front discs and pads, 27,000 injectors replaced as 2 developed a fault, 33,000 new rear suspension as they were weeping we never had any weight in the boot, 38,000 error code for faulty power steering (the Meriva curse). Two days later steering stopped working and had to be replaced. 2,000 miles later the code came back and the steering started to become heavy when turning right. This is when we decided to get rid and bought a new AWD Kuga.
