Worst car I have ever owned

Bought this car for £9000+ from a Vauxhall main dealer, it was 4 years old, on only 12,000 miles. I serviced it annually at a main Vauxhall dealer. Upon reaching 38,000 miles, and with no prior warning the auto gear box failed beyond repair. I had always driven it carefully. A Vauxhall main dealer quoted almost £4,500+ to fix it (based upon other supposed {prior unknown} MOT issues), more than it's trade-in value. I recovered it to a local mechanic, who could not source a gearbox with any warranty as to it functioning (due to the appalling reputation of Vauxhall's auto gearboxes). Vauxhall customer care offered no support. --- So I sold it for salvage, £1100, an £8000 loss for 2.5 years motoring. --- Did I ever like this car, NO, NO, NO --- Uncomfy seat, no lumbar adjustment, way underpowered, appaling economy 28 mpg, all windows randomly fully open when returning to it parked (invariably never at home, but when parked on a high street and raining, etc), aerial threads rusted together, radio kept losing it's memory, computer continually warned me to check light bulbs (never any fault though), auto rain sensor appalling functionality (nothing when needed, on when not needed), wing mirror setting for driving to be adjusted for reverse parking kerb view, I really did not like the suspension set up often horribly shaky on fairly good roads, metallic paint scratched extremely easily, plus more negatives ! I doubt I will ever buy Vauxhall again ( I owned a fantastic reliable Chevette mid' 80's, and a fantastic reliable Cavalier through 90's, both sold at 120,000 miles --- simple mechanical components and driver functions --- what has 'progress' achieved {had friends, and witnessed others recently suffering full auto braking in the motorway fast lane when there was no need, damn damn dangerous progress there})
