Toyota Yaris (2011 - 2020)
TR 1.33 VVT-i 3dr Hatchback
Best Supermini I've Ever Driven
After a series of disastrous car purchases in which I got badly stung with expensive repairs, I decided to do a little homework on the internet, and found that the same two companies were voted the top two in terms of reliability, running costs and ease of ownership... Honda and Toyota. So armed with thousands of satisfied customers recommendations I test drove a Honda Jazz and a Toyota Yaris, and immediately learned what all the hub-hub was about. Two great cars, fantastically well built, solid and easy to drive. The Honda Jazz however, was a little too much like a mini-mpv and only came with a 3 year warranty whereas Toyota were offering 5 years warranty, 3 years free servicing and a great little car that felt like a go-cart that would last forever. I was immediately hooked, so could wait to put pen to paper and order my Toyota Yaris. I opted for the 1.33 dual vvti manual, because I couldn't justify the extra cost for the automatic or the diesel or even the hybrid, in order to save a few quid on fuel, after all the petrol 1.33 manual wasn't exactly a gas guzzler anyway so the way I figured it, it would take me years just to brake even after the initial purchase cost, and I generally only keep my cars 3 years anyway, so it was just common sense really. I have driven small pocket rockets before doing club rally's and take it from me this little gem sounds roughty and great when pushed hard, which puts a smile on my face every time I get the urge to give it some welly. I really look forward to getting behind the wheel every day, which makes my journey into work a fun part of my day, which otherwise would be an uneventful boring commute in anything else. Great car Toyota... WELL DONE
