Suzuki Baleno (2016 - 2019)
1.0 boosterjet SZT
Ssshhh..... Don't tell everyone about the Baleno!
It really is the cracking little car you've never heard of! I'm in my late 40s (just) and wanted a fairly new car with low mileage and that was cheap to run. It's for a 50 mile round trip commute and also will become my driving school car. £7200 for a car still under manufacturers warranty with 19000 miles on the clock is a bargain in my book! Setting up Bluetooth phone connection took seconds and the satnav works well. Inside, it's TARDIS! Bigger in the front, rear and boot than you would believe and is a very clever design. The build quality is better than I was expecting having read the reviews. Meaty feel to the steering wheel, gear change and clutch are slick and the boosterjet engine pulls more than you would believe! I was concerned it might feel a bit buzzy on the motorway, wrong 70mph is just 2500 rpm!. It would be a 5 star car if it wasn't for the fidgety ride over imperfections such as white lines, manhole covers and cats eyes where it really does squirm. But the ride is smooth, quite and comfortable. Highly recommended.
