Well equipped, economical and practical

I chose this car because it is based on well proven VW components and software in a spacious vehicle. I like toys in a car and this came with affordable auto-parking, heated front windscreen (a great safety aid in winter), rear view camera and sunroof. Smart phone connectivity was included in the price. So good value. The engine is quiet and economical - on a long journey it is easily in the high 40s MPG and even around town it is easy to get mid-30s. The car handles tidily and has reasonable turn-in. My only gripe is that on 17inch wheels the ride is not great - on our more corrugated roads firm can become crash quite quickly. The car also had some manufacturing issues - the clutch did not work well and required work as did the handbrake. The sunroof made a bad noise in hot weather and was not properly fitted - the dealer did a good job of getting the equipment to replace it and did a good job. Since then there have been no problems. Overall I find the car a hard package to beat for the price.
