Friday afternoon car
Bought the car for its economy. Cannot achieve two thirds of brochure mpg. Other cars I have owned I could easily match their consumption figures. Have had numerous problems with the car, the worst being a wiring fault. Have paid out more than £300 to fix the problem, which was a badly routed cable, and therefore a factory build fault. No compensation for this from Skoda. Otherwise the car suffered from the light switch fuse which has failed three times, fortunately in lit areas as all lights are lost! A bad design affects most German cars. Fuse of wrong rating also fitted at factory.
