Great car not perfect

This is a great compact SUV, with lots of style. The build quality is good and the drive is excellent. Even with 20" wheels the ride is good, and I find the engine and auto gearbox combination work very well together. I find the engine smooth and refined, and certainly quieter than the equivalent units in BMW's.

However the fuel consumption is poor, compounded by a very small fuel tank, resulting in a refill after less than 300miles.

The latest 10" In Pro navigation system is also a bit hit and miss, although better after a software update earlier in the year. Experience with BMW systems leaves this one somewhat behind in ease of use.

The need to top up with AdBlue after only 4,900 was a bit of a shock, and although the cost is covered in the service package, it is a nuisance to have to visit a dealer. At least the dealer service has been excellent.

Another dealer visit is now due, because the washer bottle has started to leak.

Overall a great car, suffering with minor niggles keep it from getting a perfect score.
