Range Rover Evoque (2011 - 2019)
TD4 Pure TECH 5dr 4 X 4
Stylish compact 4x4 SUV
Very capable off road but still drives well on B roads, not pitching or rolling excessively. It is quite a wide vehicle, especially with the large but very effective wing mirrors. The Evoque rides well on its standard 18" wheels (which are difficult to keep clean) to give a relaxed, quiet and comfortable motorway cruise. It has sufficient power and plenty of torque to make satisfactory, if not rapid, progress and if not pushed too hard returns the mid-thirties MPG in mixed driving. Inside is a nice place to be with high quality materials throughout and clear and informative instruments. The seats, front and back are very comfortable and there is plenty of leg and headroom all round. Other than a few annoying rattles from the rear door linings (which have been silenced by the strategic placing of two thin rubber washers!), I have few complaints - perhaps the boot is a little small, and the servicing costs a bit expensive. All in all 4 stars out of 5.
