Car OK, very very disappointed with peugeot. Never buying again

Bought car in Sept 11 with 12k miles. Relatively happy with car, though underpowered, and got a few false warnings, such as "please complete roof manoeuvre immediately", when the roof wasnt being opened, and the skirt in the boot wasnt even deployed!) Took into main dealer NOv 12 (25k) for service and repair of engine problem. Diagnosis - timing chain problem, £1000 to fix. Car is 2/3 months out of warranty. Ask Peugeot for help. They reply, (1 week after their own deadline for replying) that they are under no obligation and will do nothing for me. However, when pressed they said they would give me £500 off a new peugeot!!! They must think that they are hilarious. Very very disappointed in dealing with this company, funding the repair myself , selling car asap and never ever contemplating buying another peugeot ever again.
update: repair garage been on. Turbo pump and turbo line also need replacing. Another £500 please. This is beyond a joke.
