Peugeot 308 (2007 - 2014)
1.6 allure ehdi
nippy economical nice to drive
nice car to drive quiet inside although you do hear a bit of a clunk over potholes as suspension is quite firm (unusual for a peugeot)but payoff is excellent handling with with no signs of understeer when cornering even at higher speeds Steering wheel seems a long way from you even when you sit in correct position semi auto not to bad at lower speeds but it does have a strange feeling when going through the auto gearbox rear end tends to squat a bit you can eleviate this by going through the paddles or shifter instead . there is very slight hesitancy between the gears although once you get used to it it becomes more tolerable, Engine is very quiet for a diesel and its very economical, space inside is excellent too storage is a bit limited however as peugeot for some strange reason put a fuse box inside the glovebox so you cant put your map in there but there is some storage under the front armrest and in the door sides boot is pretty decently sized too sat nav takes some getting used too and sound quality is a bit naff so you are better using your smartphone instead for navigation the rear pillars are massive making looking over your shoulder to check blind spot tricky. despite all this id still recommend it as touch wood ive had to mechanical issues with it yet and its a pretty good car all round.
