Peugeot 2008 (2013 - 2019)

Great value lovely spec terrible ride
The car is a beautifully attired high specification all rounder. The engine sips diesel and is often capable of up to 70 mpg on a gentle run. Cabin and features very well laid out.
Reliability is first class and one of the best value pugs I have had ( 8 in total )ranging from the classic 205 CTI through to the excellent but unloved 4007. Now for the buts.
The ride is appalling and an insult to the term soft off roader....we live in the sticks and the roads are unforgiving. I love the car for it's all round ability and economy but can t live with the bouncing around and sloppy handling. The downside internally is the shocking sat nav. I have not got the patience nor tenacity to work with its unituitive and frankly awful interface. If you don't mind these 2 terrible shortcomings then the car is a terrific second hand buy and will serve you well. I would be confident that mine would do another 60/70k if we had the tolerance and the roads suddenly improved around here....the wife is very happy with it and is the main driver of the vehicle which by the way has an excellent capacity with seats down.
Fortunately we are in a position to upgrade. It will be hard to match for the good stuff but I suspect we will batter it for ride quality even if we were to get a penny f***hing....
