1.5 II Cooper 5dr Hatchback (F55)

Great fun to drive but very unreliable

Great fun to drive and reasonably well built,purchased with five year service pack still valid. Have had back rest area of bucket seat leather totally recovered after 20,000 miles completely warn through to seat foam. Also blue tooth constantly dropping off hands-free phone connection on two different make phones. However the worst and most shocking is at 30,006 miles on the clock and being used by two professionally trained advanced drivers (i.e.know you don't rest your foot on the clutch pedal!)the clutch system and fly wheel fell apart causing complete loss of drive. The vehicle is 6 months over its warranty and BMW don't want to know. Have had it repaired at my local garage for a whopping £1200. However could have been worse as main BMW dealer wanted £2400!!! , for the same job. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
