A triumph of style over substance

Horribly thirsty for a new 1600 diesel measurably worse than a GTD Golf plus of early 2006 when it was supposed to be 30% better.
Drives quite well but not as well as the Golf. Adequate perfomance. Seats much better than golf and 10cm shorter makes parking in Paris easier. Passenger space only marginally less than golf plus. Suspension slightly more comfortable than golf.
Switchgear very badly designed for ergonomics
