Overall reliability

The finest car I have ever owned - or likely to.

During the seventies and eighties I had just three cars, all MB, and was thoroughly satisfied with them all. I succumbed to media criticism of MB quality in the nineties and switched to BMW instead. I am completely content to have returned to the MB fold with my latest car a 350 CLK convertible. I am 71, have been driving since I was 16 (suez crisis) and have owned too many cars to remember but, with each and every one, it was the feeling occupying the drivers seat which either thrilled me or not. Ambience is an over-used word these days but there is no substitute for feeling content and at peace with the world and thankfully I can say that - many of the cars I have owned have given me this. I am at one with my car, it is luxurious, tactile and the cabin atmosphere feels just like home.
