great car shame about the gearbox

I bought the car in October 2002, not as above. I have had the car for 12 years and think it is/was a great car. The car developed lock up clutch trouble in September 2012 when the car had only done 62,000 miles. Mercedes of Bath (who I bought the car from) diagnosed the above problem. They charged me £2300, did not fix the fault, returned the car to me with gear selection issues which were not there when I gave them the car. And to add insult to injury, on their invoice they told me not to drive the car as I would do more damage. They would not return my money and am now taking them to court. It would appear all my problems stem from the valeo transmission radiator which has failed on my car allowing glycol to leak into the transmission oil. MBUK have known about this problem for years, did not recall the cars of even warn their customers they may be driving a financial time bomb. To have the car fixed by MB Bath would have cost £6000 in total.
I got it repaired by a local transmission specialist company who gave me a 18,000 mile warranty.
My car is now worth less than £3,000. Not a great result.
