Reliability of a tractor, comfort of a sofa
I bought this care on a whim (first grown up car I had ever had) on the recommendation of a friend who was a Mercedes owner - good on advice, and wearing Vivienne Westwood suits.
He said "buy one, but get a 3 liter" He had a 200 diesel and although he pulled, the car didn't.
He was right. I believe that it was the last model before they were designed by accountants and pretzel makers.
I have done over 100,000 miles in it, reduced it's value from £10,000 to £100 over 14 years, and it has done me proud.
