Mercedes-Benz C-Class (2014 - 2021)
C200 2.0 SE Auto 4dr
Relaxing mile muncher
Nice to drive and feels a quality car. I also have a glc which is better all round though. 2 litre petrol is quick off the mark but a little noisy when thrashed and loses urge at higher speeds but for 90% of driving is fine. The plastic seats are cheap looking but comfortable if a little hard. The garmin system looks about 20 years old , the command system is so much better. The ride is firm but solid and reassuring. The economy on the motorway is amazing for a petrol car, I get about 48 when left in cruise mode at 70. The car does feel really long when parking in tight spaces in supermarkets etc, but the reverse camera is excellent. The power steering is heavier than on my glc, so it may be faulty, I will have to get it looked it, if expensive to repair I will leave it though as it’s ok if I had never driven another I would not have known.
Being the se model is the cheapskate model, so poor old fashioned halogen headlamps, not even led, no heated seats or folding mirrors. Also the traffic information on the sat nav no longer works as it’s a 3 year licence from Mercedes only, which is a bit cheap. For the secondhand price though, it’s a quality car and feels more expensive than it is, bought as a second runaround. Definitely a good choice, I had had 5 new Mercedes in the past , so it’s my favourite marque.
