Mazda MX-5 (2005 - 2015)

Great fun, but light and flimsy
I have owned this car for 20 months and it has turned out to be a great fun car. It is not a car that can be used for everyday use as the boot is a bit on the small side and the stereo is ...well basic. It is not easy to hear a CD/radio above 60 mph.
It is lovely to look at and has bucket loads of fun in the sun with the top down on a sunny day. The roof goes up and down so easily. One hand is possible but easier with two. The cabin is warm enough to have the top down in cold sunny winter days.
There have been not major problems, but the most recent service indicated a dented inner rear wheel probably caused by a pot hole. Also the drivesr airbag had an intermittent error due to the seat being moved back and forth for two drivers. Although less than 4 years old and a full Mazda service history, this had to be paid for - bit disappointing on that point.
The most recent service also had a vehicle body check for corrosion etc. Vospers managed to indicate there were dents behind in the arches behind each of the rear wheels. They didn't seem to realise they were part of the body shape for the wheel arches. Not impressed at all by that and now the Vosper name ( and possibly Mazda ) has been tainted. A thought of replacing my BMW with a CX5 is now on hold.
