Overall reliability

Overall great car if you can live with the MPG.

I purchased my car from an independent dealer but took and extended 2 years warranty. Having owned it for 4 months and covered 4500 miles I feel ready to review. I predominantly brought the car to cruise up and down the motorways for work.
Good points:
Great driving position, effortless long distance cruiser, the cabin is a nice place to be, Apple CarPlay (I had a dealer update the system) expensive but well worth it as it works well, very comfy, minimal road noise, easy access for you and your passengers in my case mostly just me for work or wife and young daughters, so easy to get the kids in and out compared to my old VW Passat CC. My kids get a great view of the road in the back, Bose sound system is outstanding, led headlights amazing in the dark, safety features such as blind spot, lane keep assist, radar cruise, collision alert, full parking sensors and rear camera all work well. Boot space is massive and the under boot storage area is very useful.
Overall the car feels solid to drive, I cannot comment on hard B road driving as I don’t drive the car in that way.
So far I have had no mechanical or electrical issues with the car.
Bad points:
MPG is no where near manufacture recommendations. Around town 30 mpg if you’re lucky. On a motorway run mpg varies between 31 to the max I have managed at 37mpg. All of which is based on careful cruising no heavy acceleration. I do mostly motorway miles and seem to be averaging 33mpg.
Bodywork whilst it looks nice is flimsy if you lean on it to hard it will flex.
Need ladders to clean the roof properly.
Engine despite its 175BHP lacks pace.
Would I recommend this car absolutely I’ve had cars in the past from the likes of Audi, BMW, VW, Renault, Peugeot and Citroen but I can honestly say for my needs which is a family car which I can chomp motorway miles in this is probably the best all round car I have ever owned. Just a shame about the MPG but I am willing to live with it for all the other plus points the car provides.
