Mazda 6 (2008 - 2012)
2.0 tamura (petrol)
Good car overall
Now at 13 years old my Mazda is still an excellent car. Only issues are an alarm which seems to think someone os trying to steal the car now and again! Aside from maintenance including whee bearings and new battery nothing has gone wrong. The car starts first time always and hasn’t ever let me down. It’s a drivers car with sporty handling, decent feel through the steering, excellent clutch and mechanical feel from the gearbox alongside a petrol engine that loves to rev. The seats are good, the cabin well laid out and the hatchback body shape is huge with good rear legroom and an enormous boot. Mpg is 35 which is average. Downsides - the naturally aspirated petrol engine needs revs to make swift progress though will happily pull from 1000rpm. The ride is firm and doesn’t float like some cars. Road noise could be less and the stereo isn’t great quality. For the price paid though it’s a great car.
