Sporty and ultra reliable

I’ve had my Mazda 2 for nearly three years, I was originally going to get a Ford Focus but the couldn’t care less and unhelpful attitude of the staff at my local Ford dealer made me think “what would happen if I had problems?” My second choice was the Mazda 2, what a difference in attitude; they were so nice, friendly and helpful that it was a deal clincher for me. I have only had one problem with the car and that was the battery going flat after an extended spell in the U.S. hardly the car’s fault, my Mazda dealer came up trumps, picked up the car and had it back to me the same day and working again.

As for living with my Mazda, it’s been a pleasure, the seats are supportive and comfortable, the engine is a treasure, I usually get around 50 mpg in normal driving except of course when I use the performance which is truly amazing for a 1.3 litre engine I was heard to utter “F****** Hell” when I first put the “Pedal to the Metal” I was that surprised at how fast the Rev counter headed for the red line. I’ve never explored the limits of the handling, I’ve never needed to, suffice it to say I’m confident that there are no nasty surprises waiting for me if I misjudge a corner. Would I buy another Mazda? The answer is a resounding “Yes”.
