Kia Venga (2010 - 2019)
1.4 89bhp 2 ISG 5speed 5dr
Useful & reliable
Needed a 2nd car that could fit the 4 of us if needed. Got stung when my Auris fell apart after the warranty expired, & didn't want that stress again. For the money nothing could touch the 5 star crash rating & 7 year warranty. Over 50000 miles now & no issues yet, & still have 3 years of warranty left.
Bad points: Ugly, needs 6th gear, should have bought a 3 with cruise control. Ride can be a bit hard when fully loaded. c*** Bluetooth, Ugly. (Needed saying twice).
Good points: good size boot even with the seats slid back, can take big roof box or 2 boats on the roof (Jazz has 30kg limit), totally reliable, huge warranty, cheap, Aircon good even in 38C, cheap insurance, it just works.
If you're looking for a fun car to drive, this isn't it, but if you want something cheap, reliable & practical, with a better crash rating than a Dacia then there's not much else out there. My Dad's Logan MCV has been faultless & now 8 years old, but with a Euro NCAP rating of 3 stars, I'm not putting my kids in one.
