The best car I've ever driven

Although 3 years old when I bought it from H A Fox in Nottingham it had only 20000 miles on the clock and was just a superb find. My wife particularly liked the dove grey interior leather upholstery and I loved the trim (old style Jaguar) maple veneer. I had been after an XE but was disappointed with the 2.0L diesel (noisy) and the trim was mostly "piano" black, red and chrome (hideous) which appeals to the Asian and Chinese markets, apparently (?). I've had the car for 17 months now and it is still a thrill to drive, the V6 diesel delivers terrific torque and the turbos provide instant power and acceleration. It has a "big car drive" feel in all conditions. Driving to Cheshire, despite the wretched M6, is a little like sitting in my favourite armchair watching the traffic go by and the excellent air-con ensures we arrive at our destination(s) as fresh as when we left home. The instrument and switch, back-lights are an attractive blue which provide a restful atmosphere when night driving.
