Competent and Efficient

I am writing this as an update to my above review with the same title after 15 months of ownership. I stand by the original comments. My Honda has been 100% reliable, and no rattles after 9000 miles. My overall average mpg is 64.8 and the motor has opened up nicely.

However I am going to deduct one star because of the autonomous systems. I regularly make a 230 mile round trip on the motorway, using lane assist and adaptive cruise. My Honda will have a 'phantom emergency' at least once per trip. Suddenly it brakes very hard or moderately slows down at random. Horrible sensation on a busy motorway. Lane assist has also steered me into an overtaking car twice.

In summary, the Honda is comfortable, efficient but over automated. If at all possible, my next car will be less automated and more engaging to drive - if such vehicles still exist in the future!
