1.5 VTEC SE 2WD 5dr

Lots of space and a very comfortable ride

Purchased car in April 2021 i trawled the internet for reviews on this model. I looking for any Mechanical/Electrical problems etc. I came across quite a few post's referring to Oil Dilution problems with the 1.5 VTEC Turbo Engine all post's were from American/Canada and China could not find any mention of it on any UK Honda Forum's. Most people stated when checking their oil level their was a strong odour of petrol. It was a bit of a surprise has i have been driving CRV's since 2007 with zero problems. I went ahead and purchased the CRV as there was no mention of it on the UK Forum's. When i picked the CRV up i mention it to the salesperson he replied i never heard of it, i thought that was strange as it is all over the internet. After a couple journeys i checked my oil level and on the oil filler cap and dipstick their was a quite strong odour of petrol. I contacted Dealer as i was going on a long journey they checked it over and said they had no concerns. Up to the present ive had no problems. I can only suggest owners of a CRV 2018 on check their oil filler cap and dipstick for petrol fumes.
