Competent but unexciting

Overall this is a solidly built car which is very comfortable even on the longest runs. It is very roomy, including in the rear seats and the boot is sizeable. It sometimes feels underpowered especially when trying to overtake, which in turn probably leads to the mediocre fuel consumption - overall about 36mpg, although I can get well over 42mpg on some runs.
The on board screen display remains something for Einstein to work out - it really needs to be simplified and is probably the most frustrating thing about the car. The fact that the online owners handbook extends to around 1000 pages says a lot about the complexity of the various functions.
I normally run my cars up to about 100k miles, but I will be bored and frustrated by the Honda long before that - it is not what I would call a driver's car
