Honda CR-V (2012 - 2018)
2.2 i-DTEC SR 150 5dr
Excellent value for money!
Very happy with crv firstly I had a budget of 12k to buy a used volvo xc60 which would be classed as a rival in the premium field that car reviews say this crv creeps into. Well I picked up a high milage trade in at a honda dealer for 6995 so almost halfed my budget and its a better car too. A win win
The 2.2 engine quiet smooth and pull extremely well. This is a major surprise as I have been a volvo 5 cylinder diesel snob. This 4cyl is so flexible and fast in the 50 - 80 range.
Body work, my car has 111k miles It barely has a mark on it, paint work is high quality as is the plastic trims. The mirrors fold very quietly unlike volvos. Only complain is the fuel pipe has some kind of drain hole that drips diesel into the cavity of the fuel flap, this then trickles down the car.
The boot is manual operation and I thank Honda for that, I hate elec tailgates, there is just no point, they take an age to open and get confused or damaged if closed manually, this tailgate is light and easy to operate.
Interior is massive, it's wide and the major selling point for us was how easy it was to put toddlers in the back, the height is good, the doors open wide and the floors space is large and flat meaning access is eccellent. The isofix has 3 settings so you can actually have the baby seat in the middle. My only complaint is that once the child seat is fitted some of the seat belts are hard to access for other occupants. The boot is large but I would prefer the shelf as in the mk3 as small dogs will be lost and won't be able to see out.
Not the sexiest interior but it's hard wearing and comfy and built well.
Overall a very happy customer.
