Overall reliability

Many very good things let down by not including expected features.

Bought 6 months old with only 200 miles on the clock. Came from an XJL Jaguar, so I'm 4 litres, 5 Cylinders and 260PS down. Love the Puma, much more manoeuvrable in town. Ride is somewhat harsh but getting used to that. The 7 speed DCT is very good but having to make several button pushes to get into “Sport” mode from “Normal” is a real pain and not to be used in a hurry. The gearbox is nearly as smooth as the Jaguar, which is saying a lot. Performance wise it is as quick as my last new Ford back in 1999 – a Mondeo 2.0. The Puma has all the extras fitted except the sunroof – which is good, the Driver’s Assistance Pack is a must. Since I’m getting less mobility these days the seat height in this SUV makes it much easier to ingress and egress the car.
The FordPass app is very hit and miss – Poor. No reachable armrests – Very Poor. No seatbelt height adjustment – UNFORGIVABLE in 2020.
