Excellent

Comfortable, reasonably fast, good ride and roadholding, economical for a big car, huge load space.Solid, well built feel.

Would have preferred the 6 speed - I.m told this 1.8 engine produces almost the same BHP as the previous model 2 litre, but with the heavier body and wider ratios it seems noticeably slower than my previous Mk111 2 litre 6 speed, and slightly fewer mpg.

Wouldn't dream of paying £XK extra for a BMW or Audi.
