Makes you smile like no other car can

Can't believe some of the utter ridiculousness posted by other reviewers in relation to this car. This car is the joy of driving embodied in a car. Top Gear reviewed it alongside a Lambo and concluded that the Fiesta ST3 won the day, and rightly so. It's the democratisation of performance cars for the masses. You have to be prepared to accept everything that goes along with that, particularly the firm ride (without which the very ethos of this b road beast would be undone) and fuel consumption. 6 months into my ownership I am getting 340 miles out of a 46 litre tank of super unleaded. That's amazing considering the acceleration, power and performance on tap. The reviewer who commented that the acceleration in normal mode must have eggshells taped to the accelerator pedal. Sport mode is there for a reason though - adding great punch to the acceleration and a fabulous crackle to the exhaust which normal mode allows you to temper back when you're after a quieter, relaxed journey or when you're not in the mood for playtime. I love the way the ST despatches dawdlers with ease and an exhaust pop, particularly the SUV snails. And top gears verdict is bang on - a Lambo is of course a better car, but the ST allows you to use more of the performance more of the time, legally. And it has race mode and launch control for trackdays. Best car I've ever owned and a great tribute to classic performance Fords. 10/10
