After 12 Months and 15,000 Miles I'm Very Happy

As I'm still the only one to have submitted a review, I thought I'd update my opinion after living with the vehicle for tad over 15,000 miles in a year. I still can't give meaningful marks for maintenance costs - so far one routine service - as it's a company car and I don't see the bills. I have however now had contact with the dealer - a recall for a software update - and they were very good.

Now I'm used to it I'm very happy with the handling. The ride hasn't stopped being too harsh on potholed roads, but it's ceased to seem so significant. Last September I deviated from my normal pig of a commute by taking my grown up son, two grandchildren and a mountain of luggage on a 2,700 mile jaunt to the South of France and back. The comfort, effortless cruising, extremely efficient - and quiet - climate control and excellent economy (56 mpg) made what might have been a fraught trip a real pleasure.

The only downsides in this year of driving have been how badly the cold winter weather affected fuel consumption - down from averaging 49 to 44 mpg - and how slow the heater is to deliver warm air on really cold days. Still, as my old 2 litre, petrol engine, Peugeot used to average 23 mpg I'm very happy overall.
