Citroen C4 Picasso (2013 - 2018)
2.0 BlueHDi 150 Exclusive EAT6 Auto 5dr Medium MPV
A great car to drive
The new EAT6 box is a major improvement on the old semi auto that I had on my 2009 1.6 C4 Picasso. The 2.0 makes a great deal of diffference as well. the old 1.6 was OK but it could leave you a bit short of power on the quick get away. I am not sure how the 1.2 version compares but I guess the economy is better, I am estimating around 50mpg. I am in the middle of a long term economy test via a 6 month European trip, it is likely to be 7 - 8 thousand miles of mixed driving including 2 x 1000 mile 2 day runs on German motorways.
There are some good things about the new model which I really like as above but the storage is not as good, particularly the loss of the 2 bins on the upper facia is serious mistake and the reduction in size of the central drop down locker is also a mistake. The new one between the driver and front passenger is good but as it is deep things can get lost at the bottom. The look is better and the daylight driving lights are good, I had to have additional lights fitted to the old car as I drive a lot on the continent but these new ones are much better.
As said by others it is not a sports car, but it takes 5 in comfort, for the older person it is much easier to get in and out of and there is loads of boot space. One bonus is it is just 4 cm shorter and now fits in my garage when I want it to.
