Would I buy another? Not sure if I would, but it is a close thing.

My four years with my Audi A6 are just about up and when faced with the decision to have another, I had to reluctantly say no. This A6 has a lot going for it. It looks fantastic, on a motorway drive is almost silent, equipment levels are good (although I do have several extras added), so why not another?

This is my first diesel with AdBlu and while I appreciate I will now have this problem with pretty much every diesel car, top ups every 5000 miles is an irritation requiring a trip to the dealer. The ride, although when cruising is fine, is very firm and could do with a little bit more give. The MMI although good, is not as good as the BMW interface (and why do you have to turn the MMI knob the wrong when moving through menus?). Economy is OK but not stellar, but my mileage has now reduced, so I do not see this as so much of an issue. Perhaps my biggest moan is the automatic box for 2 reasons. 1. The horrible delay when setting off between wanting the car to move and it actually starting to move (discussed here by another owner: https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/askhj/answer/73119/is-it-normal-for-my-audi-a4-avant-to-have-a-delayed-reaction-when-i-try-to-pull-off-in-second-gear-) and 2. It does struggle a little to put the power down through the front wheels, especially in the wet (possible related to the previous issue) and it can get a little unsettled if not careful

Overall, for a £40k car, I just can’t say I would buy again, but I could not say to anyone not to buy one.
