Audi A4 Allroad (2009 - 2015)
2.0 TFSi quattro S tronic 5dr Auto
Very comfortable capable car
My first Audi and while the ride is isn't quite as smooth as my old Citroen Xantia estate it is far more capable and luxurious. The car was just over 5 years old when I bought it as the third owner. It had just over 100,000 miles on it but still feels like new when you drive it. It does have quite a few aesthetic stone chips on the front from many motorway miles and you can tell a dog has travelled in the boot but still in overall very good condition and everything works as it should.
Being a DSG it is a pleasure to drive in traffic and eats up the miles when driving across Europe. Since I've owned it I have averaged 26mpg but rarely go on long journeys. This was another reason for choosing the petrol model. Around town this can drop to 23mpg and on my last trip to Switzerland managed 36.5mpg one day with a large roof box on. There is very little road noice in the cabin. The car came with Pirelli P-Zero tyres on it that were excellent in the dry but a bit like driving a go kart with power steering! However I did not like these tyres in the wet or when we had a light dusting of snow last winter. I have since put on a set of Michelin Crossclimate tyres which offer a bit more comfort and a lot more confidence when the conditions are bad.
